Chieu Le, founder of Lee's Sandwiches, came to the US and settled in San Jose in 1980. He began taking English classes and regularly bought food from food trucks before and after Seeing the potential, Mr. Chieu decided to start with a catering truck to participate more in the business. The following year, he bought his own vehicle and started his first journey around San Jose.
In 1985, Lee Bros Foodservice, Inc. was established with over 500 food trucks operating across the U.S. From its first store in 2001, Lee’s Sandwiches has now grown to more than 70 locations nationwide. Alongside its retail expansion, Lee Bros has continuously expanded the distribution of Vietnamese products to supermarkets and Asian markets in the U.S., Canada, and other global markets. As of now, Lee Bros has over 6,000 points of sale and distribution partners across the U.S. and Canada.
